Anita Devine

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSS, LCSW


Anita is an experiential therapist with over thirty years of experience, focusing on mindfulness, connection with the body, and the healing power of presence. She possesses extensive training in EMDR Therapy and Parts Work. Anita believes in the possibility of healing from trauma. Within a relationship of safety and validation, individuals can experience wholeness again. In her free time, Anita enjoys hiking the Adirondack Mountains and painting watercolors. A fun fact: the watercolor images on the site were painted by her!

Education, Training, and Affiliations:

MSS,  LCSW, Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work

EMDR Training:  Levels 1, 2, 3, Laurel Parnell Institute of EMDR, 50 + hours of supervision in EMDR

Level 1 Training, EMDR Institute. Training in Intensive EMDR

AEDP Training:  Level 3 Clinician, and Experiential Assistant in AEDP Trainings.  

NASW Certification as a Grief and Loss Clinician.  

2 years training in Core Self Reclamation Therapy
(Parts Work, informed by advanced studies and supervision in AEDP) Taught by SueAnne Piliero, PhD, Senior Faculty Member Emeritus, AEDP Institute.

Current Trainings:  Gottman Institute training in Couples Counseling, IFS (Parts Work) informed EMDR, beginning April 2024.
